The thing that so impressed me this Christmas was seeing the thoughtful and generous giving that Jonah, Gideon and Isaac performed! They each spent their own money and really worked to select wonderful gifts to give. Jonah made everyone's gifts. Collins received a bookmark that says, "Glad you're my dad", I received a short story he wrote about my yelling, "Woo! Host of Kangs!" from the stands while he played football and a beautiful beaded keychain he made, Gid was given a pillow Jonah made for him, Isaac a picture of him and Jonah playing in the snow in a frame Jonah made, Felicity a butterfly suncatcher/windchime, and Tristan a hot chocolate mix in the form of a sundae cone. Gid gave everyone a popper that had a party hat, joke and toy inside as well as a candycane and peppermint Tootsie Pop. Isaac gave Christmas marshmallows plus selected matchbox cars for each brother and gave Felicity a Hello Kitty notebook. Collins and I gave Tris and Jonah Snorg Tees. Tris' says "5/4 of people have trouble with fractions". Jonah's has a milk cow saying, "milk, I am your father" with a jug of milk yelling, "NOOOO!" Gid received a green EasyBake oven, Isaac some transportation craft that you drill together or apart, Felicity clothes and Barbie DVD's. A shout-out to Sara for the idea of wrapping paper to burst through in the morning. This is our second year doing it and we really like it! Our neighbors across the street gave us the gingerbread house kit and all the kids really enjoyed assembling and eating it...even Felicity was in on the action! Tristan wasn't here for Christmas day, but we enjoyed a very fun New Year's Eve with him and some great cousin times with Keith and Lisa and crew! Collins and I are so grateful for the goodness we see growing in our children and we cannot express the blessing it is to have the gospel leading and guiding us and creating the beautiful experiences we enjoy as a family and in our home. Jonah shared his testimony earlier in December about the joy he feels in knowing the true meaning of Christmas...celebrating the birth of our Savior and brother, Jesus Christ. Being a Mormon family rocks!
